Mauricio Zelaya

Dr. Zelaya is an accomplished economist experienced in econometrics and statistical modelling for both private and public sector clients. Dr. Zelaya specializes in the economics of innovation, industrial organization, and more generally, the application of economic theory to real business issues. He is also a faculty member and sessional lecturer at the Schulich School of Business at York University, collaborating on thought leadership and academic research report on Foreign Direct Investment.

His work in this area spans across numerous industries, from oil & gas and mining to finance, advance manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals. Dr. Zelaya is currently the National Economics leader for Ernst and Young’s Economic Advisory practice based out of Toronto, where in addition to providing econometric and statistical modelling services, he also performs economic impact assessments, FDI and investment attraction strategies, and international trade assessments.
