Nov. 1 & 2, 2022 was the inaugural debut of Plant Forward. The conference hosted global leaders and delegates from around the world in Toronto, Canada for conversations on advancing innovation in plant-based food and ingredients and how Canada’s strengths can help meet evolving consumer demand and support the modern food supply.

Global leaders setting the stage

Plant Forward welcomed 250 delegates from 11 countries and displayed global leaders in the plant-based food space such as Heather Mills, Suzy Amis Cameron, Murad Al-Katib, Dan Magliocco and Adam Grogan. The conference highlighted the importance of the role plant-based food can play in improving the health and nutrition of food products from bakery and meat to the dairy and beverage sectors.

Conversations toward a plant-based future

Highlighting market trends, consumer behaviours, improving sustainability, accessing capital and building capacity, conference delegates saw the Canadian opportunity and learned more about the country’s agricultural strengths to supply the world with healthy, nutritious plant-based food and ingredients.

Canada as a strong collaborator

Keynote speakers and panelists spoke on collaboration as a beacon to accelerate innovation to meet evolving global consumer demand. Canada is an agricultural powerhouse and choice partner in collaborative endeavours to support the modern food supply, such as advancing innovation and collaboration between international players.
