Agricultural Utilization Research Institute

Prior to joining the Agricultural Utilization Research Institute (AURI), Jason spent 19 years in corporate R&D at a Fortune 500 food manufacturer, which built his technical expertise and ultimately shaped his passion to support the small food business innovation ecosystem. 

Today, Jason is AURI’s Business Development Director – Food, and works with emerging food businesses on commercializing their products, as well as defining and executing public domain solutions to food innovation ecosystem gaps.  Additionally, he is on the Advisory Board of the Plant Protein Innovation Center at the University of Minnesota and is an active member of the MBOLD Coalition Protein Catalyst.  Jason is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison, with a degree in Chemical Engineering, and works out of Maple Grove, MN.
